Paintwork Correction

What is Paintwork Correction?

The Process of Machine Paintwork Correction involves removing swirl marks and light scratches from the paintwork. This is done using a number of different polish and pad combinations which are dependent on many factors, including: Car Manufacturer, Age of Paintwork, Severity of Marks and many others.

It is a common misconception by bodyshops and dealerships that one polish fits all, so it is not unusual to see cars leaving their premises covered in paintwork defects such as Buffer trails and swirls.

We carry a large range of Polishes and Pads with us on all details, so that not only can the defects be removed safely but then the paintwork can be finished down to product a truly flawless finish.

Why use a Paint Thickness Gauge?

A paint thickness gauge is used on all correction details, infact we would never carry out paintwork correction without first taking numerous readings to confirm that it is safe to proceed. There are many Gauges available, however the only ones we trust are from the Positector Range and are able to read the separate paint layers on all materials, including fibreglass and Aluminium.

Please see some examples below of the before and after results of the paintwork correction
process.
